SpeakOut Campaign – Intro

Many rural residents have been forced to live near industrial wind turbines. These turbines are known to cause many devistating health problems in people and animals, but the Ontario Govenment has ignored their stories until now. Suffering Turbines has created the SpeakOut Campaign to give these victims of greed a place to share their stories. The Government cannot ignore these people any longer. Show your support and help us vote out the Liberals who have caused so much suffering.

SpeakOut Ontario – Lisa

Lisa and her family have developed many negative health effects since 8 IWTs were built near their home. She has been offered no solutions from the Ministry of Environment, her family doctors, the corporation behind the wind farm, or anyone else.

SpeakOut Ontario – Ted

Ted and his family have lived in Amaranth since the 1980s, but since a transformer station went up near their home (and a second one which made things even worse), their lives have been completely disrupted. Ted was forced to retire early, as he could no longer make the long drives required; his youngest daughter left home early because of headaches and other symptoms; their livestock count has deminished because of a sudden drop in conception and birthrates.Ted and his family have lived in Amaranth since the 1980s, but since a transformer station went up near their home (and a second one which made things even worse), their lives have been completely disrupted. SpeakOut Ontario – Mark

Mark bought a house in a rural setting for the quiet atmosphere. Since IWTs were built near his home in Feb. 2012, he has developed, witnessed, and encountered the negative impacts IWTs have on nearby residents. Leaving his home would result in serious economic loss, but staying has already negatively affected his health and income.

SpeakOut Ontario – Freeman

Freeman and his family have experienced health problems since a wind farm went up near his home in 2012. In addition to the health problems listed in the video, they have also experienced abdominal pains, which were never present before the IWTs were built near their home.

SpeakOut Ontario – Lorrie

Lorrie Gillis, a long-time resident of the Flesherton area, is facing a proposal for IWTs close to her home.
